Hello, Bonjour, Hola, and Welcome,
It's the start of a new month and its time to introduce myself and the blog. I'm Katie, a third year student who is finishing very, very soon (eeep scary). I am a sucker for all things musical, filmy, foody, interior and exterior. This is, basically, what will feature on the blog. You'll be seeing posts of fun things I've been up to, inspirational posts when I have spent too long daydreaming and some life saving tips that get me by. I'll be updating the blog every Wednesday and Sunday (providing nothing gets in the way) and each month I will do a small list of 10 songs that I am loving right now for you guys to give a listen, as well as a payday/loan day treat guide of films, albums and singles that are worth spoiling yourself for.

A bit more about my inspiration behind the blog, it all started when three of my housemates and closest friends all started blogs (check them out here and here #cheekyplug). So yes, I am sort of jumping on the band wagon. Mine will mainly be focused on my love of music, making playlists and film. The name of the blog 'Because of the Times' is inspired by one of my favourite albums of all time by Kings of Leon (my favourite band too). Most of the music that will feature in this blog will probably be indie rock, pop punk, and rock, but my music taste varies A LOT. There will be some months I'll be loving dance tracks, chart anthems, even some 80's classics, so there should be something for everyone.

This April I have got some exciting things coming your way. This Sunday we have an easter inspired baking post. Where my fabulous baker brother and I attempt to make some sweet treats without killing each other. We also have a food challenge, featuring my other brother, coming your way. Due to my easter break being full of dissertation and exams, I will also be doing a stress buster post with things that help me de-stress. This month my favourite series Game of Thrones is making a comeback (I couldn't be more excited), be warned there may be spoilers. I also have a fun trip to Bournemouth planned with some friends where we will be seeing MCBUSTED!! I am super excited and will give you a full run down of how amazing it was (as lets face it, it wont disappoint). Then I will finish the month with a preview of whats to come in the blog in May and what I am looking forward to in regards to film and music releases.

After that mouthy insight into what I am about and what to expect from the blog, I really hope that you stay tuned and enjoy.
